WHY HR OK
A template gives you a file. HR OK helps you finish the job.
A generic form cannot know the employee, role, award, pay arrangement or change you are dealing with. HR OK keeps the question, guided workflow, documents and follow-up together.
Before you hire: understand the setup and prepare the records.
When something changes: update the employee record and generate the documents.
Afterwards: monitor the workspace and surface tasks when attention is needed.

01
What documents should I provide when hiring an employee in Australia?
Every new employee must receive the Fair Work Information Statement. Casual employees must also receive the Casual Employment Information Statement, and employees entering a new fixed-term contract must receive the Fixed Term Contract Information Statement. The role, award or agreement and working arrangement determine what other written records are appropriate.
Award coverage depends on the employer’s industry, the employee’s occupation and the award’s coverage and classification terms. A registered agreement may apply instead. The employee’s actual duties, qualifications and responsibilities matter, not only their job title.
No. An employment contract can operate alongside an award, registered agreement and the National Employment Standards, but it cannot remove minimum legal entitlements that apply to the employee.
Australian employers generally have to keep time and wages records for seven years. Records must be accessible, legible, in English and must not be false or misleading.
No. HR OK provides practical compliance support, source-linked general information and guided documents. Complex, disputed or high-risk matters can still require advice from a qualified workplace lawyer.
