How do I find my award?
Start with the employer’s industry, then compare the employee’s day-to-day duties with the award’s coverage and classification descriptions. The finder above gives you a starting award and a direct link to its official text. It does not automatically classify the role.
What if my industry isn’t listed?
Choose “Something else / I’m not sure” to continue with Fair Work’s broader award finder. One business can have employees covered by different awards.
Is an award the same as a classification?
No. An award sets the framework; the classification identifies the level of work within it. Compare duties, skills and responsibilities with the official classification descriptions.
What if we have an enterprise agreement?
Check whether the agreement is in operation and covers the employee. Select “Yes” in the finder to open the Fair Work Commission agreement search.
